Wondering if anyone else has experience with this radio. I received one today and programmed it with local frequencies using Ham Radio Crash Course's Baofeng programming guide.
Radio, external "waterproof" mic, and programming cable was just over $50 shipped from Amazon Prime.
I'm evaluating this radio as part of my search for a "tactical" vest/belt mounted radio that would be more durable than your standard Baofeng radio with a "basic" two-prong speaker/mic adapter.
Here are the quick specs of this radio:
- Frequency range: VHF 130-176 MHz UHF 400-520 MHz 65MHz-108MHz (only commercial FM radio reception)
- High power / mid / low (5W / 3W / 1W) selectable; Selectable Frequency Step 2.5/5/6.25/10/12.5/20/25/50 KHz; Broadband (wide 25KHz) / Narrowband (narrow 12.5KHz) selectable
